My story isn't a straight line.
I'm Thomas. I've lived with diabetes since around 2007. At my heaviest, I was close to 300 pounds. I've lost weight, regained weight, and learned that lasting change is more complicated than a before-and-after photo.
My A1C was once over 10. On June 23, 2026, it was 6.0. My insulin needs have also changed substantially over time under medical care. Those numbers matter to me, but they aren't the whole story.
What matters most is having more life to live, more ordinary days to enjoy, and more chances to begin again. My faith has helped me keep perspective, especially when progress feels slow.
This site isn't about giving you a treatment plan. It's about sharing what I've lived and offering encouragement as you work with your own healthcare team.
